Immune System Care

Getting vaccinated is still under consideration for many and an option that is still not readily available to everyone at this time.

Whichever you decide, keeping your immune system optimal is important. A regular yoga practice keeps your immune system in good condition. However as the new strain of Covid contiues to spread and more people are choosing vaccination a practice to boost your immune system is a good idea.

The yoga sequences below are to give extra support to your immune system and to prepare for and recover from receiving the vaccine.


If you have symptoms from the vaccine or COVID 19 such as fever, fatigue, nausea it is better to first rest and drink plenty of fluids until the symptoms subside before resuming your practice.


Sequence 1

Setubhandasarvangasana Bhadakonasana Adhomukhasvanasana ( head support) Salamba Sirsasana Dwipada Viparita Dandasana (with chair) Chair Sarvangasana Halasana Paschimottanasana Supported Savasana- with Ujjaii breathing



Several students have reported light symptoms after their second shot. This shorter sequence of poses may be helpful to relieve symptoms of slight fatigue or headache.

Supported savasana with ujjaii breathing is extremely helpful and can be done by itself without other asana.

Sequence 2

Setu Bandha Sarvangasana-

Viparita karani variation- waterfall like with legs on chair.

Paschimottanasana with head support.

Supported Savasana
